After the Sale

Now you own your property in France. Once the notaire has registered the property in your name, the tax’s / rates will follow on automatically, normally a year after you have purchased.

In many cases it does not end there, we also are well aware that after the sale has gone through, there are often other aspects that the agent can be helpful to the purchasers, and we fully accept this is part of our function. It may just be something relatively simple like opening up a French bank account, getting the service contract changed over (tel water etc.) where’s the best beach, or where to buy a boat ? Where’s the best place to shop? Etc. All these types of queries after living and working in the area for over 20 years we are very pleased to pass on any good tips we can, and to help clients find the right solutions. In addition, as a professional service, we can assist, with planning issues in the event that clients have a building project for their new purchase, extensions, renovation, swimming-pool / garages annex’s, and in some cases people buying land to construct. We work closely with local architects and builders, and we have many years of experience helping clients coordinate their projects.
